The New York Life Premier Variable Annuity-FP Series provides investors an excellent opportunity to grow their retirement assets. Now, there are several enhancements (effective May 1, 2019) that may provide more value for investors.

Enhanced death benefit.

The last reset age for the Annual Death Benefit Reset rider (ADBR) is being extended from age 80 to 85 (the last issue age remains at 75 and the rider fee remains unchanged at 0.25%).

Principal protection for less.

The Investment Preservation Rider-FP Series (IPR) can help investors stomach choppy markets with the promise of principal protection.1 The fee has been reduced for the 10 to 12 year holding periods (for new applications submitted on or after 5/1/2019). The fee remains unchanged for the 13, 14, 15 and 20-year holding periods. New holding period fee: 10-year: 1.00%, 11-year: 0.90%, 12-year 0.80%.
